Ministry: Inflation accelerates to 6.79% on Monday

MOSCOW, Sep 2 (PRIME) -- Inflation accelerated to 6.79% on the year on Monday from 6.68% a week earlier, the Economic Development Ministry said in a statement late on Wednesday.

Weekly inflation remained at approximately same level of 0.09% from August 24 until Monday after 0.10% in the previous week.

Prices for food except fruit and vegetables grew by 0.21% after a 0.30% rise. Fruit and vegetable prices fell by 0.91%. Non-food prices decreased by 0.17% after a 0.20% decline.
